(Photo: Splash News Online) Anne Hathaway's imprisoned ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri has requested that the judge transfer him from his current prison to the Manhattan federal jail he was originally held in.
The jetsetter, who has been serving a 4 1/2 year term for cheating investors out of millions of dollars, calls the conditions in his Brooklyn jail "unspeakably harsh."
This week Follieri's lawyer sent the judge a letter outlining the prison's shortcomings.
"Mr. Follieri reports that he is in a windowless dormitory with approximately 120 other men,'' the letter said. "He says that he cannot eat because the food appears to be spoiled and that the toilet and shower facilities are unspeakably unsanitary. e.g., there is excrement in the shower and rats are roaming freely in the area. He says the stench is intolerable.''
Things are reportedly so awful that Follieri has become sick. He's suffered from fever, bloody urine, intestinal problems, and shortness of breath.
Just call it payback for the $37,000-a-month Manhattan apartment he rented with the money he bilked.
