Double-O Millions

Quantum of Solace exceeded expectations this weekend with the biggest James Bond opening ever, taking in over $70 million for the 3-day period.
Add in $200 million from a ground-breaking international pre-release and Daniel Craig already has a quarter-billion-dollar box office hit!
It is likely on-track to make close to $200 million in its United States theatrical release.
That's a big relief for execs at Sony and MGM, partners on the film, whose $200 million action-packed price-tage included Gucci's Tom Ford as Bond's personal tailor.
"The Bond movies belong to the world," Sony domestic distribution president Rory Bruer proudly told press. "I certainly believe the buzz is out there."
