Quantum of Solace exceeded expectations this weekend with the biggest James Bond opening ever, taking in over $70 million for the 3-day period.
Add in $200 million from a ground-breaking international pre-release and Daniel Craig already has a quarter-billion-dollar box office hit!
It is likely on-track to make close to $200 million in its United States theatrical release.
That's a big relief for execs at Sony and MGM, partners on the film, whose $200 million action-packed price-tage included Gucci's Tom Ford as Bond's personal tailor.
