You read about the Courting Condi movie here on Friday, about a man's
efforts to get a date with Condoleezza Rice. Now, be glad you're not the director. Londoner Sebastian Doggart fears the worst is yet to come.
"Yeah, I'm always worried sitting in a Condi screening that I'm going to
start to smell a strange gas and feel sleepy, and it's all gonna end,"
Doggart told RADAR. "The State Department found out about my film and
didn't like the idea at all.
"You just don't know what they're capable of," he went on. "We had a
contract with a cable channel to make the movie and we were one week
away from shooting. Karl Rove allegedly took the president of the
channel out to lunch and said 'this is not a good idea. This will damage
your good relations with government if you proceed on this. We really
advise you not to do this.'"
While Doggart reluctantly accepted "go away" money from the cabler, the
