He was nominated for several honors at the Country Music Association Awards, and only won one -- but what a 'one' it was!
Kenny Chesney wept when he snagged his fourth Entertainer of the Year trophy, saying that he was "humbled" by the honor. He seemed particularly happy to receive it from the recently publicity-shy Shania Twain, who's been laying low after word got out about her divorce.
Braid Paisley and Carrie Underwood were co-hosts, with star-power added by Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman -- who had an upcoming movie Australia to promote -- and who handed the Single of the Year award to veteran George Strait for I Saw God Today.

Paisley got the show off to a rousing start, performing Start a Band with superstar Keith Urban, aka Mr. Kidman. Meanwhile, onetime American Idol winner Underwood won her third Female Vocalist of the Year award.
Lady Antebellum won Artist of the Year and Sugarland won Duo of the Year and Song of the Year for their smash Stay.
