Turns out Britney Spears does know when to quit.
The new and improved pop star has decided she won't play Mary in French
film producer Philippe Rebboah's comedy Sweet Baby Jesus.
The star-studded period piece revolves around pregnant 19-year-old Mary
in the 1970's who goes into labor on Christmas Eve, still unsure of the
baby's daddy.
"Britney read the script and she really liked it," Rebboah told press.

"But people were so against it and she was pressured... so we mutually

With production on the "foreign" film slated to start in Bethlehem,
Maryland this January, the producer quickly turned to 22-year-old Milk
star Alison Pill as a substitute for Spears.
Britney is, however, still hoping to provide a song for the film.
Tom Green will play Mary's boyfriend. Also attached are Sean Brosnan, Pierce Brosnan's son, and Lily Tomlin.
