High School Musical 3: Senior Year spent its second week on top of the box office, earning $15 million this weekend to bring its 10 day total to $146.8 million.
What makes the figure impressive is that Halloween is usually a slow weekend due to trick-or-treating and parties.
"They beat out Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which made a not-very-obscene $10.7 million," said a studio exec. "What's impressive is that they also beat the second week of Saw V which earned $10.1 million and is sorta the perfect Halloween flick if you're going to see one."
