Zac Efron Not Actually Dropping N-Word

WE DO SATIRE, TOO! Wayne, Efron, Photoshop
So it turns out that prodigious rapper Lil Wayne and ruddy-cheeked, too-pretty-to-be-straight teen idol Zac Efron are not actually collaborating on a High School Musical remix, as we wrote yesterday. An editor at the OC Weekly, which initially ran the story ("What's up, my nigga?" the paper quotes Efron as saying), writes in to PerezHilton.com to say that "the Zac Efron and Lil Wayne story is purely fictional and is simply intended as a joke (and a hysterical one at that)." It was an idea as ludicrous as, say, blaming Conor Oberst for the Omaha mall massacre, and we should have known better. But then again it's not a huge stretch to imagine Lil' Wayne bringing Efron aboard to help him "reach those suburban white kids like Kanye did."
