With "High School Musical 3" earning a toe-tapping $42 million its first weekend, Paramount Pictures is rushing to get star Zac Efron into a remake of the 1984 Kevin Bacon (and dance double) starrer "Footloose."
"This one's a no-brainer," a source at Paramount told RADAR. "Zac is one of the fastest rising stars on the planet and everyone knows that movie or the musical stage play."

"Footloose" remains one of the biggest-selling soundtracks of all-time, boasting such tunes as "Let's Hear it for the Boy," "Holding Out for a Hero," and "Almost Paradise." The producers expect to use all of the classics in the film, along with new songs.
