ALSO NAPPY Berry
Talk about a tough act to follow. As Nappy-headed Ho-gate rages on, Halle Berry is stepping into the spotlight (probably breaking a light sweat) as pre-production press for her film Nappily Ever After gathers steam.
The movie, based on a 2000 novel by Trisha Thomas, begins filming this summer and will star Berry as a woman driven to shave off her hair because of a relationship crisis, leaving only a quarter inch of stubble. By going bald, Berry has said she will follow in the footsteps of Demi Moore, Natalie Portman, and Britney Spears. Crown Publishing's website calls the symbolic cropping "a bold declaration of independence, and one that has effects the newly trimmed character never could have imagined." Ditto that for Imus.
