Paper that Published Putin Rumors Shuttered

ANOTHER CHANCE TO USE THIS ART Putin, Kabaeva, doing what they do Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev's Moskovsky Korrespondent, the Moscow tabloid that accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of dumping his wife for a bendy young gymnast, has suspended publication. Meaning it has essentially folded. The paper's publisher denied rumors that they'd been raided by FSB, the successor to the KGB, but the timing of the news is noteworthy in a country where the Kremlin still holds considerable sway over the media. Lebedev has a friendly relationship with Putin, who'd strongly denied the rumor and dismissed allegations of wedding plans with 24-year-old Alina Kabaeva. But news of the paper's closing could be seen as a sign that no amount of bro-ship will ever impede Putin quietly boning his way through his country's vast supply of athletic young women.
