YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND Wynn
Steve Wynn wants the franchise on three New York-area racetracks, and he's getting help from a somewhat unlikely source: Donald Trump.
According to sources, the Rosie-baiting Apprentice star introduced Wynn, his longtime rival in the casino business, to lobbyist (and sex-club patron) Roger Stone, who's helping him win the support of New York state senator Joe Bruno. Wynn's group, called Excelsior, is trying to get the franchise to the Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga race tracks (as we recently noted).

Though Trump and Wynn now call each other friends, that wasn't always the case; Trump was once quoted as calling Wynn a "scumbag." But he sure has influence to spare with Bruno, having hosted a $5,000-a-plate fundraiser for the pol in February.
