Smooth Criminal Leaves Tina Brown Chafed

MER'D Peggy Siegal, Tina Brown Guests who attended a recent book party at the Sutton Place apartment of former New Yorker editor and future digital news aggregator Tina Brown were no doubt pleased to find in their gift bag a jar of ultra-luxurious Creme de le Mer, which retails for a staggering $125 an ounce because it's made out of harvested fetus cells or something. A tipster tells RadarOnline.com, however, that one enterprising party-crasher actually stole a "significant consignment" of the lotion, much to the chagrin of invited guest CeCe Coffin, who was gracious enough to supply the jars gratis in her capacity as vice president of global communications for the company.
For the record, the well-moisturized thief wasn't us. We didn't even know what the stuff was at the time.
