Just when you thought Washington's sartorial contributions consisted solely of Monica's Gap dress, Bush's flight suit, and Condi's hooker boots comes word that D.C. Fashion Week kicked off today. While it's unlikely Suzy Menkes and Cathy Horyn will be jetting in from Paris anytime soon, Betsey Johnson is cartwheeling into town with a reprise of her Fall 2007 New York show tomorrow.
The week began with a Fair Trade fashion show at the World Bank and culminates with sloppy seconds from the Paris couture shows at the French Embassy on March 4.
