JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS Clinton, Obama (Photo: Getty Images) The reason none of your cubicle mates are working right now? That'd be the start of March Madness, the annual rite of spring that costs employers an estimated $1.7 billion in lost productivity in just over three weeks. This week, the remaining presidential candidates were asked what team they thought would emerge from the fray; their answers are actually pretty indicative of their respective personalities.
Barack Obama, once a decent baller himself, went with UNC, a smart choice in its own right, and also one that'll serve him well in North Carolina's primary on May 6. Hillary Clinton, however, not only missed the chance to take her husband's alma mater, Georgetown, but also curiously neglected to take dark-horse favorite Pitt (she was in Lancaster, PA, when the question was asked). Instead, she said she'd have to defer to her "basketball adviser" husband. A spokesperson for Bill later said, "We're going to pass." It's not that hard, guys. There are 64 teams. Pick one!
