Yesterday, we reported a well-traveled Hollywood rumor that George Clooney was behind the release of the I Heart Huckabees outtake in which David O. Russell tears apart his set while ripping Lily Tomlin a new one.
His rep, Stan Rosenfield, denied the story and today forwarded this message from Clooney himself for extra emphasis (as Rosenfield said yesterday, Clooney barely knows how to use e-mail):

Contrary to popular opinion, neither the sound man, Ed Tise, nor yours truly sent in the David O. Russell tape. I saw it when we were working on "Ocean's 12," and there have been quite a few copies traveling around town for the last couple of years. Any rumor that either of us put it on the internet is simply false.
And I'd offer a million bucks to anyone who would prove otherwise.
Your fan,
George Clooney
