TALKED OUT Joyner, Smiley (inset) You know what they say, morning show second banana walk-offs come in threes. Tavis Smiley is the second. A longtime commentator on the program (and the host of his own show on PBS), Smiley announced he was leaving the highly rated, nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show today when he was beat up by callers—and then the show's host—who called him jealous for criticizing Barack Obama. In response, Smiley traveled into ... the future for a post on his website dated Tuesday, April 15, 2008. "By now, you may have heard of my departure from the Tom Joyner Morning Show, he writes. I am traveling today and am not available to respond directly. I will address what you heard on the Tom Joyner Morning Show next Tuesday at 8:25 AM EST, during my normal commentary on the show." But ... he ... quit. TransWorldNews
