Tatum O'Neal Resumes Cokehead Role

ANOTHER CHILD STAR SNIFFS THE DUST O'Neal (Photo: Getty Images) • Meth-od acting: Tatum O'Neal, an Oscar-winning actress and ex-wife of tennis champ John McEnroe, was busted last night in Manhattan trying to buy cocaine and crack. O'Neal, who has a long history with addiction, reportedly told arresting cops she was "researching a part."
• In passing: Legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent has died in Paris. He was 71. French president Nicolas Sarkozy paid tribute to the man, saying he was "the first to elevate haute couture to the rank of art."
• Open wide: Sex and the City beat out Indiana Jones and won the weekend box-office tally, with an estimated $55.7 million opening. That's the best opening ever for an R-rated comedy. Wait?! It was supposed to be funny?
