In an attempt to one-up the sleek iPhone, BlackBerry is trying to establish
its fashion cred by providing its users with the "little black books" of
prominent tastemakers, including Karl Lagerfeld,
Dita Von Teese, and, ahem, Perez Hilton.
But while it might sound like just another transparent example of the style
set's unabashed shillery, the lists are quite revealing, should you, for example, be as obsessed with Kaiser Karl as we are and wish to stalk him.
Lagerfeld, for instance, declares La Esquina in Nolita as his favorite restaurant in New York. We were thinking it was packed with scary girls from Long Island and baby hedge funders, but if Karl gets his ceviche kick there, perhaps we should be giving it a second chance. If you think you could handle the possibility of Karl and Marc Jacobs on the same bench, swing by the Mercer Hotel, which Lagerfeld reveals to be his fave spot to lay his head in New York. If you feel like following him to Paris, you could also spot him picking up shirts at Hilditch and Key, shopping for coffee table tomes at Galignani Books, or window shopping at Colette. All rather useful information. Until you get to this bit: BlackBerry thinks you want to know that Perez Hilton claims that Kiehl's moisturizer is his "must-have!"

You can be sure the Kiehl's PR folks are scrambling to print disclaimers for the bottles clarifying that use of their classic product will not in fact result in an off-putting puffy-pink sheen.
