Blogger Writes Book, Gets Review

Although this weekend's New York Times Book Review was chock-full of lighter fare—it was their "Summer Reading" issue, and science says that people are stupider in the summer!—there was still one book they neglected to cover. Fortunately, page six of the Long Island section stepped in with a review/mini-profile of local-girl blogger Stephanie Klein and her latest book, Moose: A Memoir of Fat Camp. (The best part is the photo caption in the print edition: "FIRST PERSON: Stephanie Klein has a second memoir.") But even as it celebrates her success—after all, the only other writer from Long Island is Amy Fisher—it undermines the holy hell out of her.
