SOCIAL ANXIETY Schelter Perhaps New York party girl Kate Schelter can add "evil genius" to the list of her many talents. Either that, or Page Six is off the mark in its suggestion that the fashion consultant is behind the increasingly snoozy SocialiteRank.com.

For starters, Schelter, a familiar face on the Manhattan social circuit, is regularly slammed on the site and was nominated for its inaugural "Loser Pose Awards" in October. She was also voted "Disturbingly Unchic of the Week" for an outfit she wore to the Valentino Rock'n Rose party in November, a blow which, according to a well-placed source, "reduced her to tears."

It's unlikely that those tears were fake, says the source, who confirms that Schelter was "extremely upset" by both of the posts and "feels backstabbed" by SocialiteRank's authors. Trills another connected with Schelter: "There's absolutely no way that Kate is behind SocialiteRank." Schelter herself did not return an e-mail for comment.
