JUST LIKE MONEY Johansson, LePore (inset)
In a flash, Scarlett Johansson went from singing on stage at Coachella with legendary shoegazing band the Jesus & Mary Chain to talking about trying to remake the Natalie Wood classic Marjorie Morningstar on the red carpet at the Louis Vuitton store in New York. But, by all means, don't call her an "actress-model-singer."
"I don't know if I would call myself any of those things," Johansson said. "Actually, I'm just an enthusiast." (So is the record store geek with every release Jesus & Mary Chain ever put out, but you won't see him singing "Just Like Honey" with Jim Reid!) Johansson, an ambassador for Oxfam America, was hosting the Love Collection party at the Vuitton store last night for the charity. She was joined by fellow performers Michael Stipe, Mya, and Amanda LePore.

Apparently, the Jesus & Mary Chain show was just the beginning of her forthcoming musical collaborations. The raspy star is recording an album of Tom Waits songs, which she says will be finished "before the summer ends." Asked who might be appearing as guests on the record, Johansson kept her pouty lips sealed. "We'll have to wait and see," she said.
