LITTLE RUNAWAY Richards gives Sambora the boot

The Jovi-al romance between six-string cowboy Richie Sambora and Wild Thing Denise Richards is over. This is surely maddening news for editors at Glamour, who in this month's issue have an as-told-to interview with the broken Bond girl under the headline: "'The whole world hated me.' Denise Richards opens up (exclusively to Glamour!) about being vilified for dating Richie Sambora. Here's how she got over the worst two years of her life."

In the first-person story, Denise says: "Richie and I have been together for more than a year now. Recently we went to Hawaii and people came up to us and said, 'We're so happy for the two of you.' So people are starting to accept the relationship, realizing it's not just a fling.... I feel like if I can survive this, I can survive anything."

Too bad the relationship was already dead. "Denise and Richie broke up two months ago," InTouch Weekly reports today. A friend of the actress also tells the mag, "They didn't want to make it public because they lived through public divorces, and it was very painful." For Glamour, too.
