Murdoch Predicts Democratic President, Maybe Probably Obama

Rupert News Corp. chief Rupert Murdoch predicted an overwhelming victory for the Democratic presidential candidate in the forthcoming elections, stopping just short of saying it will be Barack Obama who will receive the party's nomination. It's the impending recession that, to his mind, will lose Republicans the race. That and the idea that racist Americans everywhere will be disarmed by black Obama: "It looks like he overcomes race, being black, overcomes that totally." He added, with flair, "I want to meet Obama. I want to know if he going sic to walk the walk." It is unknown whether Murdoch affected a street-wise Chicago accent for this statement, or if the inflection is merely a typo. Either way, we're pretty happy with it. Reuters
