Rosario Dawson Spoils Her Own Plot

Rosario Dawson might have ruled a Tribeca Talks panel about women who act, direct, write, and produce, but the Grindhouse star could use a tip in marketing.

She kept her lips sealed about the big plot twist in Descent, the film (premiering at Tribeca) which Dawson produced and stars in. But then moderators opened up the floor to questions (and the occasional script pitch from audience members), and Dawson offered some advice to someone trying to sell a movie when she revealed the film's major twist (spoiler alert!): "I play a rape victim who rapes my rapist, and when I pitched this, no one wanted to see that," Dawson said. The audience gasped. And co-panelist, actress, writer, and producer Julie Delpy's hand shot up, and she quipped: "If that's what happens, I want to see this movie very badly!"
