McCready: "Clemens Tossed It Right Down The Middle"

SCREWBALLERS Clemens, McCready (inset) Yesterday, when the Daily News broke word that embattled former Yankees pitcher and avowed family man Roger Clemens had engaged in a 10-year affair with painkiller-abusing former country crooner Mindy McCready, Clemens immediately denied through his attorney that the relationship was ever sexual. Not so, according to both McCready and her father.

The Daily News gets confirmation from "a tearful but resolute" McCready, who admits that everything published in the story is true but also stresses that while she knew Roger as a teenager, she didn't actually sleep with him until she was an established singer years later.
