Richard Meier's Home For Broken Hearts

NIGHT OWL: Richard Meier Party-hopping star-chitect Richard Meier's Perry Street Towers and 165 Charles Street complex in Manhattan has famously had trouble retaining big name tenants, among them Nicole Kidman and Martha Stewart (is she ever satisfied?), who flipped their apartments and fled to less problem-plagued buildings shortly after the towers opened. But the next occupant might be there to stay.
We hear the draftsman's own daughter, aspiring actress Anna Meier, is trading her Hollywood bungalow for a two-bedroom flat at 165 Charles, which boasts a 50-foot pool with waterfall, a 35-seat screening room, nine-foot tall bathroom doors and African wenge wood floors. Sadly, according to friends, the homecoming is bittersweet: Her pet Chihuahua was attacked and killed by another dog on Hermosa Beach this summer, souring her on the west coast for the foreseeable future.
