Political junkies and lovers of made-for-TV movies with large, eclectic casts of B-plus-list indie-hip stars were overjoyed Tuesday when Variety reported that Kevin Spacey, Denis Leary, Tom Wilkinson, Laura Dern, John Hurt, Ed Begley, Jr., and Bob Balaban had all signed up for HBO's 2000 election-themed drama Recount—to be directed by Jay "Austin Powers" Roach.
