Project Runway: Daniel finally Deemed a Total Drag
Oct. 27 2008, Published 7:07 a.m. ET
Rejoice, Project Runway fans! Daniel, aka He of Impeccable Taste, is finally gone, having failed just slightly more horrifically than Keith in creating a stage outfit for a professional drag queen. His reasoning, when grilled by Frau Garcia, on why the outfit wasn't over the top or fun or interesting or innovative in any way? He "decided not to make it gaudy." To reiterate, the challenge was to make an outfit for a drag queen. Let me speak on behalf of everyone then when I say good God I'm glad we don't have to look at his snobby face anymore.

For the most part, the other designers were able to rise to the outsize occasion. First, we were treated to season four's third-place finisher Chris March's triumphant return to the show, he himself being a dragster, to introduce the challenge and the queens to walk in it. We're not at all familiar with the drag queen world, so maybe the insanely amusing names of Hedda Lettuce, Annida Greenkard, and Farrah Moans mean something to you, but if not, imagine neon makeup, giant wigs, 44DD breasts, and legs most women would kill for—and you're just about there.
