Politicos Ponder Lynne Cheney Blind Item

DICK'S TEASE Lynne Cheney(Photo: Getty Images) New York magazine columnist Kurt Andersen dropped a doozy of a gossip grenade in his latest column with his allusion to Lynne Cheney's "extravagant flirtations with a friend of mine over the years."
Blind item enthusiasts at Page Six were of course the first on the scene, but they couldn't get much; Andersen instructed them only that the flirting fell short of "canoodling" and "that's as far as I'm going to go with it." Given Andersen's circle of friends and Lynne Cheney's literary pretensions, we might suggest that Graydon Carter stay the hell away from the vice president's wife. But Daily Kos is suggesting a wide menu of possibilities, which includes K-Fed, Donald Rumsfeld, O.J. Simpson, and, in a nod to Cheney's noted interest in lesbian erotica, Condoleezza Rice.

While RadarOnline.com is not yet prepared to project a winner in the race, early returns show Rice taking a commanding lead over all other candidates except for Daily Kos blogger Bill Harnsberger.
