THE ACCUSED Zerola
Gary Zerola, a Boston-based attorney who graced People magazine's "Most Eligible Bachelors" list in 2001 and 2003 and once tried out to be a participant on ABC's The Bachelor, is now being charged with something that will likely preclude him from partaking in future reality dating shows: rape.
One 19-year-old in Boston is accusing Zerola of ripping off her dress and slamming her head against a wall after she returned to his apartment but turned down his advances. Another 19-year-old Bostonian is alleging that Zerola repeatedly raped her in his apartment. And then there's the 18-year-old virgin in Florida who claimed Zerola met her in a bar, took her back to his hotel, and stuffed pills down her throat. When she woke up she was naked and bleeding in bed (he never consented to a DNA test).
