TARGET Pelosi This weekend, the FBI busted a Los Angeles man named Chad Conrad Castagna for sending threatening letters filled with non-poisonous white powder to House Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi as well as New York Senator Chuck Schumer and several media and entertainment figures like David Letterman, Keith Olbermann, and Jon Stewart. According to the Associated Press, some of the letters included the phrase "Death to Demagogues."

The choice of targets seems to suggest a thing or two about Castagana's politics—all of the recipients are highly influential liberals who came to the fore this election season, particularly Olbermann who spoke about the New York Post's poo-pooing of his possible 'thrax attack earlier this year despite their own brush with the white stuff. AP lists Castagana's job as "unemployed," but not much more is known about him. And that's where the Web comes in.
