GIVER Winfrey • Okay, now she's just buying their love: No longer content handing out cars to her audience, Oprah Winfrey gave each member of her audience a debit card for $1,000. Of course, that money was earmarked for charity, which may be for the best since those cars Oprah handed out in 2004 were taxable to the tune of $7,000.
• Update: A correction on this morning's link reported 100 U.S. military deaths in Iraq in October. It is now 101 with the death of an 89th Military Police Brigade member in Baghdad ... at press time, anyway.

Our spy reports that "she seemed out of it," that it appeared she'd been out all night, and that she'd clearly been crying, with mascara running down her face. "I've called the cops," said Lindsay of her alleged pursuers. "But the cops can't catch them."
