Obama Swings Backroom Deal For Super-delegate

The one surefire way to lock up the endorsements of favor-currying super-delegates in this uncertain political time is to promise them stuff. Just ask Barack Obama. The candidate has brought Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar into the fold due in no small part to his consideration of Klobachar's 12-year-old daughter Abigail for the high-level cabinet position of White House babysitter. According to the Washington Post: "No promise was extracted, Klobuchar says, though she feels pretty confident that her preferred Democratic presidential candidate would put her daughter high up on the babysitting call list." Not to get all earnest about the political process and all, but it's this kind of backroom deal brokering that's ruining American democracy. Is this girl even CPR certified? WaPo
