If you ask Paddy Power, Ireland's biggest bookmaker, Barack Obama has already swept the Democratic nomination. And Power is not too happy about it: The early projection is that those who bet on Obama over the past few weeks, when his odds ranged from 4/1 to 4/9, could net as much as $75,000. Obama is now the favored at 1/12 to "demolish" Hillary Clinton. "From a betting point of view we reckon that it's game over for Hillary," electionbetting.com writes. "With each passing day Obama is looking more like a certainty to get the Democratic vote and as far as we're concerned he's already past the post. So well done to all who backed him, your winnings await!"
