Obama Apologizes for 'Sweetie' Comment

Following a minor incident yesterday in Michigan in which Barack Obama dismissed a female reporter's question with a jejune "Hold on one second, Sweetie," the Democratic frontrunner whipped out his I-Phone and called her up. (Oh girl, Obama's got your cell number!) After an initial apology for not fielding her question on the spot, he added a second to the voice message, "for using the word 'sweetie.' That's a bad habit of mine. I do it sometimes with all kinds of people. I mean no disrespect and so I am duly chastened on that front." A gesture that must have no doubt left the reporter feeling duly tingly on her front.
