Racist Candidate Name-drops Oprah

O NO Bowles, Winfrey
Barack Obama probably has some fond memories of Oprah Winfrey following last week's campaign O-stravaganza, but will they ever match those harbored by Nazi presidential candidate John Taylor Bowles?
A new campaign blog launched by "the White People's Candidate" (and one-time RadarOnline.com also-ran) raises that weighty question. He recounts an alleged run-in with the Big O during her days as television reporter in the mid-70s. Winfrey was chasing down an interview at a Nazi bookstore in Baltimore where Bowles worked. After being repeatedly refused, Oprah allegedly threw "a tantrum on the sidewalk until a bucket of cold water hit her in the head." Bowles gleefully reports that Oprah "stomped off cussing Nazis like you never seen," and he wonders "if she remembers me and realizes that the current 2008 Nazi presidential candidate is the one who cooled her heels that night in Baltimore."
Those interested in discussing this tale or his predictably jarring and racist campaign platform may have to wait until next month, when Bowles starts touring schools and lecturing. Until then, his website advises all to "have a white Christmas."
