Today, WWD confirms that the Colombian BlackBerry shill has in fact been dropped as Elle's fashion director, but also that the magazine is "scrambling" to find her some "symbolic" staff roll.

We don't see what the "scrambling" is all about—adding one "editor-at-large" to a masthead isn't a zero-sum-game that necessitates removing another, and as such it should be a pretty easy fix—but then again we don't work at a fashion magazine and thus aren't so familiar with the ego coddling required to keep a bunch of narcissists happy.
