Mood Gay As New York Extends Benefits

Good news from our friends at New York. We're hearing that, as of May 1, employees of the family-owned city mag will be able to extend their benefits to domestic partners.
We reported in January that New York, which lavishes attention on the city's gay community and its concerns, was one of the few magazine publications not to offer partner benefits. At the time, a spokeswoman blamed the failure on "complexity of the laws governing corporate benefits and the difficulty of complying with changing domestic partnership regulations."
