Thanks to his bold advocacy for teenage drug use, good ol' Mike Gravel was able to hornswoggle around 400 Democrats into voting for him in Tuesday's New Hampshire primary. And with a new campaign webcast entitled "All Things Gravel," we can't imagine anything but more heady days for Team Gravel on the campaign trail.
Ostensibly drawing its inspiration from The Electric Company, Yoko Ono, a purloined Richard Dreyfuss commercial voiceover and, of course, Gravel's own intriguing insanity, the vid reminds us that "Senator Gravel has always gone against the grain and in doing so has demonstrated an uncanny perception and prescience of what lay down the road." Which of course is why he's announced that <a href="http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080109/NEWS08/39115609/-1/news08 " target="_blank">he's still in this thing no matter how "dangerous" or "unpopular" (or, in some cases, "awesome") the media thinks he is.
