Mid-East Peace Talks No Vacation for Bloggy Syrian Ambassador

Syrian Ambassador to the United States Imad Mostapha weeks ago dismissed today's big Middle Eastern peace conference in Annapolis as "a photo opportunity and about people in Washington, D.C., telling their electorate, 'Look, don't accuse us of only starting wars; we're working for peace in the Middle East.'" Mostapha is hanging out in Annapolis today nonetheless, following Syria's subsequent decision to participate in the conference, but his personal blog suggests his mind may be elsewhere.

The Syrian ambassador apparently spent yesterday preparing for President Bush's lame duck Middle East peace caper by posting pics of his recent vacation to the French Riviera.
