KATIE? REALLY? Couric (Photo: Getty Images) Because there are so very few jobs in print and television journalism to be had, everyone is making his list of who might replace Tim Russert as host of NBC's Meet The Press after Russert's sudden passing. Honestly, the names we're seeing so far are a little hacky and expected! (Oh, really: Katie Couric? No....) Russert had gone to NBC from politics in 1984 (a fine year as any for a Democrat to get out of the game) and took over Meet The Press in 1991. Also, there are so few Irishmen left who are willing to work themselves to death these days (blame the unions). So, further afield.
