Whether it was an oversight or just a lack of confidence—or else good agenting—AMC and Lionsgate do not have a third season contract with Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner.
The successful drama about a mysterious and talented New York ad executive in the 1960s helped revitalize AMC as a network. Does the show's producer, Lionsgate, plan to do the show with a different executive producer?
"That would potentially rob it of what made it unique and popular," says one industry insider. "Weiner's vision."
