Lohan Snatches Up Marilyn's Old Haunt

Given all the creepy Anna Nicole as Marilyn references flying around these days, you'd think the rehabbin' Lindsay Lohan would rethink her fetishy <a href="http://www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_21263208.shtml
" target="_blank">purchase of Monroe's 2-bedroom, ground-floor apartment in the pre-war, West Hollywood El Palacio Apartments.
Granted, Lohan banked a bit of change when she sold her L.A. condo for $2,495,000, offsetting that $431,000 Chateau Marmont hotel bill last year. But the El Palacio, described as "an enchanting place that screams early Hollywood—all Spanish arches and lush greenery," has its own dark history. Though Monroe lived in the apartment in the 1950s, several years before her death in 1962, a number of high-profile deaths straight out of The Black Dahlia have rocked the complex over the last century.
