Lauren Conrad Snatches $10k from the Humane Society

Her premature exit prompted the MC to call her a "temperamental bitch," but it's actually much worse than that: a source tells RadarOnline.com that the Humane Society, which sponsored the event, paid Conrad $10,000 to take part in the festivities. "Between the flight, her hotel stay, and an extra fee, she got 10 grand," says the source. "They essentially paid for her to come party in the city and the Hamptons."

Then again, Conrad recently copped to having to send her dog Chloe to "puppy boot camp because she wasn't learning anything," so maybe she wasn't the best spokesperson in the first place.
