Diminutive Democrat Dennis Kucinich has a new ally: Hustler kingpin Larry Flynt. This past Friday, Flynt hosted a $500-a-head cocktail party in Los Angeles for 150 Kucinich supporters—the first time the politically active beaver hunter has ever hosted a fundraiser. "I support Dennis Kucinich because not only have I been a friend of his for 40 years, but I believe he offers an essential, viable and exciting option to the candidates that are more popular at the moment," Flynt said of his decision. (We're assuming the "exciting option" wasn't a reference to Kucinich's smokin' wife).

It's worth noting that Dennis wasn't actually his first choice: Flynt, an ardent supporter of Bill Clinton during the Lewinsky scandal, donated $1,000 to Hillary Clinton's senate campaign in 2005, but had it refused. "She's a hypocrite," he said at the time.
