McCain: "I Will Not Sit Around For Three Days While You Drown"

McCain (Photo: Getty Images) In a move that provides a stark contrast with the current administration, "John McCain toured still hurricane-damaged areas of New Orleans and declared that if the disaster had happened on his watch... he would have landed his plane 'at the nearest Air Force Base and come over personally,'" at which point the Arizona senator would presumably have delivered a string of violent profanities at the rising waters, causing them to recede in fear. It's a nice sentiment from the Republican nominee, but does anyone really think the problem with the government's response to Katrina was the fact that George W. Bush wasn't there quickly enough in person? I mean, knowing this president, he probably would have managed to turn the whole thing into a tsunami.
