The Milton Berle Room at the Friars Club was the scene the other day of a party for Drew Friedman's More Old Jewish Comedians, a sequel to Old Jewish Comedians, collected caricatures of such revered icons, now gone, as Myron Cohen, Groucho, Buddy Hackett, Burns, Benny, et al., along with Friars present and still carrying on... Comedian Jeffrey Ross looked at Abe Vigoda sitting at the end of the dais and said, "Comedy Central is praying that Abe doesn't die before the show airs." Ross then turned to the 1,500 people in the Grand Ballroom of the New York Hilton and asked, "What's the over and under on Abe Vigoda? I'll take November and the points." Then Ross took note of King, Roman and comic Dick Capri, and said, "I've seen younger faces on cash."
