In Abu Dhabi, Foxx Gets Royal Treatment

  • Abu Dhabi knows how to treat a visiting Hollywood icon. In an interview with Esquire, Peter Berg, director of an upcoming political thriller entitled The Kingdom, lists the perks provided by the Middle Eastern emirate (and world's richest city) to star Jamie Foxx. The standouts: a 25-person, machine gun-wielding entourage, a personal food taster, and an ambulance that tailed Foxx wherever he went—presumably to whisk him to the nearest hospital in the event that he was crushed by hordes of Booty Call-loving sheikhs. "They had given him their highest level of protection—what they would offer an American president," says Berg.
