SWELLING WITH PRIDE Gore
In case you were somehow unclear where their politics lie, consider the differing Al Gore takes currently in play on The Drudge Report and Huffington Post.
• Drudge: He may have won an Oscar for his global warming shock doc, An Inconvenient Truth, but his mansion is anything but green, according to the "nonpartisan" Tennessee Center for Policy Research. "Gore's mansion 20-room, 8-bathroom, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES)."

• Huffington Post: In a direct response to Drudge, and with a little Web sleuthing, calls bullshit on the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. Blogger Dave Johnson writes: "Let's start with a more basic question. Who are these people? Well, a quick check of Alexa reveals their website gets no traffic. Are they legitimate? Well, again, they claim to be non-partisan but only link to far-right and conservative groups, so regardless of what their status is with the IRS, this is a conservative, strongly leaning Republican organization.... Al Gore is a hero."
