Has David Geffen cut all ties with Hillary Clinton, or is he still taking a flyer on her? If you read both The New York Times and the New York Post today, you may be a little confused.
The Post's Page Six claims the DreamWorks cofounder assured Clinton's campaign managers that his decision to throw a fundraiser for Barack Obama would not prevent him from donating to Clinton's campaign down the road. (Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg cohosted the fundraiser; Spielberg has said he will also host one for Clinton.)

But over in the Times, Maureen Dowd quotes Geffen gushing about Obama and spewing a variety of cutting remarks about the Clintons. (The article is only available to TimesSelect subscribers). "Obama is inspirational, and he's not from the Bush royal family or the Clinton royal family," he says. "Everybody in politics lies, but the Clintons do it with such ease, it's troubling."
